Job Description

Brick & Birch (sister company to Stonebridge Builders) is a growing residential remodeling company based in Denver, Colorado, and is seeking a fresh-thinking, experienced Lead Carpenter/Foreman to deliver exceptional projects for our customers.  We offer high-quality, efficient and practical basement finishes, kitchen and bath remodels. We love what we do and work hard – yet smart – and have an incredible culture of innovation, creativity, integrity and respect.  We pride ourselves on each relationship with clients, subcontractors, and team members as being win/win and mutually fulfilling.  We celebrate success, and have a lot of fun along the way.

  • The Lead Carpenter/Foreman will have the unique opportunity to both (1) manage residential remodel projects and (2) perform finish carpentry work.  Our company focuses on kitchen and bath remodels and basement finishes.

  • Being the customer’s lead champion: communicating with the customer on a regular basis, managing expectations, and delivering an exceptional experience

  • Managing project schedule and budget: delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Managing subcontractor & vendor partners: ensuring that quality work gets completed on time, and managing materials as needed, and coordinating with the office.

  • Performing finish carpentry work: installing finish trim as needed including cabinet installation, custom built-in’s and other custom trim.

  • Providing open and direct feedback: communicating ideas for improvement and helping to implement key initiatives that will make the company better

How is Brick and Birch Different?

At Brick and Birch, a typical day-in-life includes the standard project management and carpentry work that you have likely performed at other jobs … but we are a little bit different.  We are innovative and smart, we respect one another, and straight-talk is a core value.  We believe in supporting family and work-life balance, and our mission is to make our customers – and our team’s – life better.

Imagine a day where you wake up, get ready for work, and hop into your company vehicle to start the day.  On the way, you are craving some coffee and have some last minute material needs including a new window for one of your kitchen remodels.  You stop by the Brick & Birch office, have a few laughs with the office folks, grab some amazing coffee and a Santiago’s breakfast burrito, and ask one of our Project Coordinators to help you with ordering the window.  Since it is Thursday, you have your regular field meeting in the office and you celebrate as the team has just received a day-off prize for meeting customer satisfaction goals.

You glance at your schedule for the day on your mobile app, and then are ready to check on your projects and your clients. When you arrive at your kitchen remodel project, you shake hands with your customer and discuss the plan for the day.  You put a huge smile on your client’s face when you hand them a gift card for dinner at Chipolte that night.  You discuss how the project is going, and review the schedule with them on the mobile app.

You then greet your electrical subcontractor, who is just getting started for the day and actually hand him a Starbucks coffee card for working late the night before.  You then grab some tools and start to install the kitchen cabinets.  Since work is under control at your other job sites, you are able to stay for the full day and get your cabinets hung. At the end of the day, you are ready to spend time with your family or friends, catch up, and celebrate the day’s accomplishments.

While all experienced Foremen know that all days may throw us different demands and needs, Brick & Birch offers a distinctive opportunity to be supported and collaborate with a winning team.  Some days can be stressful and challenges can always crop up in construction, but our team’s support will always pull us through.
